N.I.M. ARMY RANKS

The N.I.M. International Army has in place, a rank structure based upon the German Army, British Army, and U.S. Army, with an influence from the U.S. Marine Corps.  {To Include British Royal Marines}

The internal structure objective of the N.I.M. International Army is to create a solid NCO Sergeant's Corps, in which anyone who has served in the armed forces of any nation, knows it is the Sergeant which keeps the military functioning, with most officer ranks being unneeded in modern times, and are an out of date item from the past, from when large percentages of most populations could not read nor write.

The Sergeant or NCO, can not only command troops, and teach troops, but he can also perform the task himself, when needed.  This is the true spirit of the modern Sergeant or NCO.

The N.I.M. International Army has chosen to keep General Officer ranks, because every Army in modern times needs a General.

The N.I.M. Army will also have a ceremonial rank structure influenced by the Order Of The Teutonic Knights, The Order Of The Knights Templar, The King Arthur Legend Of Excalibur, and other European Knight Traditions dating back to more than 1000 years.

Much of the objective of the N.I.M. International Army will be to provide security operations for the National Independents Movement worldwide, but also, serve in a ceremonial role, keeping European Heritage alive in the twenty-first century.

Due to the recruitment of veterans and other persons of experience with education into the N.I.M. International Army, the N.I.M. Army rank structure will begin at the rank of  LANCE-CORPORAL.

N.I.M. INTERNATIONAL ARMY CEREMONIAL TRADITIONAL RANKS

HISTORY

All references to weapons, military operations, and battles remain very legal, because they are SYMBOLIC, CEREMONIAL, and TRADITIONAL ONLY !!! 

The N.I.M. Army, nor N.I.M., the National Independents Movement, neither carries out, nor influences any form of illegal violence during the past, present or future.  All N.I.M. Army, and N.I.M. actions are legal worldwide.

The N.I.M. Army ceremonial rank of PIKE-MAN, is armed  traditionally with a long lance or pike, which could pierce armor on European Battlefields.  Platoons of Pike-Men, formed lines on battlefields where troops could organize assaults upon enemy forces from behind, or conduct a defensive operations upon specific geographic areas during combat.

The Pike-Man formed the defensive line which archers could be secure behind to spray enemy troops with steal tipped arrows.

Pike-Men were lightly armored and could move at top speeds during assaults upon enemy forces.

Platoons of Pike-Men protected the flanks of mounted knights, and heavily armored dismounted knights during each battle.

Skilled with the Pike or Lance, platoons of Pike-Men assaulted both mounted and dismounted troops in countless engagements.

Traditionally, formally a Pike-Man, now graduated to a Man-Of-Arms, who is skilled in various types of weapon systems.

These weapon systems include:   The Sword, Javelin, Lance, Pike, Axe, Crossbow, Long Bow, Musket, Catapult, Cannon, Rockets, and building defenses.  

The Man-Of-Arms fights in a platoon or squad of specialized weapon systems and is the leader of teams of Pike-men during engagements.  

Once a Man-Of-Arms, now skilled in various types of weapon systems, the Knight is heavily armored and moves at a slow pace, where he is re-enforced by Pike-Men and Men-Of-Arms. 

The Knight fights in units of knights or leads Pike-Men and Men-Of-Arms into battle.

The Knight keeps alive the traditions of the Teutonic Knights, King Arthur and Excalibur, the Knights Templar, and other European Knight Orders. 

The Knight teaches the Pike-men, and Man-Of-Arms these ancient Knight traditions; with the goal of leading Pike-Men and Man-Of-Arms on the path of being Knights, within the proud N.I.M. KNIGHTS ORDER.

MOUNTED KNIGHT [or] SENIOR KNIGHT

DUKE    

Formally a Mounted Knight [or] Senior Knight, maintains the status of a Knight, and can perform as a Knight when called upon.

The Duke coordinates/directs the actions of Mounted Knights [or] Senior Knights, Knights, Men-Of-Arms, and Pike-Men during military actions.

BARRON    

Formally a Duke, maintains the status of a Knight, and can perform as a Knight when called upon.

The Barron insures that each Duke's platoon is supplied with the correct personnel, equipment, support, logistics, and information to perform well on the battlefield.

The Barron coordinates and directs the actions of each Duke's platoon during each military operation.

COUNT    

Formally a Barron, maintains the status of a Knight, and can perform as a Knight when called upon.

The Count insures that each Barron's Company is supplied with the correct personnel, equipment, support, logistics, and information to perform well on the battlefield.

The Count coordinates and directs the actions of each Barron's Company during each military operation.

NOBEL    

Formally a Count, maintains the status of a Knight, and can perform as a Knight when called upon.

The Nobel insures that each Count's Battalion is supplied with the correct personnel, equipment, support, logistics, and information to perform well on the battlefield.

The Nobel coordinates and directs the actions of each Count's Battalion during each military operation.

The Knight, just like the Sergeant, is the core of the N.I.M. International Army.   One has to be an N.I.M. Officer first, before this individual can become a Sergeant or Knight in the N.I.M. International Army.

N.I.M. International Army Security Operations are VERY REAL.  Protecting N.I.M. areas of operation, N.I.M. Property, N.I.M. equipment, N.I.M. Members, and N.I.M. activities is a major role of the N.I.M. International Army worldwide.

The N.I.M. International Army also has a very important role of carrying on Knight Traditions of the past, and passing this European Heritage onto present and future generations.

Certain N.I.M. International Army positions can be award to individuals based upon experience, education, and status within the National Independents Movement worldwide.
